Eyes open,

forward,

head straight up, looking

forward,

knees bent

and there's that one green dot;

still target,

right ahead

finally calling for me.

Placing all the bulbs
on the tree as babies watch
oh, to see them smile

LOVE AND ITS POWER

He yells

and she listens.

She's always been powerful.

But love is even more.

We tend to see things

we cannot speak on

until we've felt it a same way.

Seeing family trees
you wonder where they are now,
if there’s a likeness

RATHER BE INSECURE

Being on the inside,

flaunting all the things that

mother has made,

from the button-sized boobs

to pencil-skinny toes

and being comfortable.

Stepping to the outside

where people look everyday

and there is much chatter,

and laughter because it's

what people enjoy.

Much rather wear a

floor-length gown

than to allow for breathing pores

on a sunny day.

Living in a dream
at the age of thirty-nine
and there’s still life left

LOOKING AT OTHER WOMEN

A pair glazing

back to where

he and I just were,

at the backside

of another woman,

just after he'd expressed,

months after we'd met

that it was me

who would be the most cherished.

Wanting for a change
but chaos overwhelms you
but you cry at night

MOTHER

I fall asleep

and dream of carriages,

always hoping that someday

a something magic

will enter me,

do something evil

to the things that don't

want me to be

what she’s been to me.
